  For the seventh consecutive year running, the Armenian Youth Federation rallied community youth from across California for a massive one-day effort to beautify the streets of Little Armenia. The Little Armenia Beatification Project attracted more than 200 volunteers, who crowded the courtyard of the Rose and Alex Pilibos Highschool on Sunday morning to take part in the project. With rakes, shovels, brooms, bags and other utensils in hand, the young volunteers proceeded to pick up trash, plant new trees, and remove graffiti throughout Los Angeles Little Armenia neighborhood. The event, organized by the AYFs Hollywood Musa Dagh Chapter, was put together in conjunction with Councilmember Eric Garcettis office to help revitalize the streets of this densely populated district of East Los Angeles.   A group of New Yorks finest urban artists are heading to Sderot and Kiryat Gat on April 24th to bring color to the two Israeli cities. Israeli graffiti artists who will be both their guides and partners in this mission will join the American artists. Together, the Americans and Israelis will beautify two cities scarred by the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, and equip the traumatized children of the region with artistic tools. Their mission is called the Murality Project, joining the words mural and morality to evoke justice through art, explains Meital Dohan, the Israeli actress now famous for her role on the hit American Showtime TV series Weeds. Dohan is the official spokesperson of Artists 4 Israel, the New York based non-profit organization that is sponsoring the trip as part of its mission to foster exchanges between communities of artists in Israel and around the world who wish to express through artistic mediums their "support of Israels right to exist in peace and security." The artists are hoping that teaching Israeli kids graffiti will help them to not just leave their mark on local walls, but write a better future for the region, says Craig Dershowitz, Artists 4 Israel President.   Google Tech Talk February 17, 2010 ABSTRACT Presented by Dino Farinacci. In Part 1, we discussed how endpoint IDs and routing Locators are used to provide a level of indirection for routing and addressing. This session will describe all the database mapping algorithms we have considered for mapping an EID to a set of Locators. We will take about the technical challenges of each and brainstorm about the business models that develop as a result of each mapping database algorithm. We will then show how LISP can be deployed to interoperate non-LISP site that run IPv4 and/or IPv6 for a seamless integration. Dino Farinacci: Dino originally joined Cisco in spring of 1991 and was one of the first two Cisco Fellows. He has built routers for 27 years. Dino currently works in the Data Center Business Unit at cisco where his focus is on building a next-generation platform and operating system for Enterprise and Data Center environments. This platform is the Nexus 7000 running NX-OS which shipped in April of 2008. His expertise specializes in routing protocols where he has intimate knowledge and implementation experience with IS-IS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, IGMP, PIM, and MSDP, as well as IPv6 and MPLS protocols. He is an advocate for modular operating systems. Dino also has been a member of the IETF for 19 years making many contributions over this period of time.
