VBoxHeadless – Running Virtual Machines With VirtualBox 3.1.x On A Headless OpenSUSE 11.2 Server This guide explains how you can run virtual machines with Sun VirtualBox 3.1.x on a headless OpenSUSE 11.2 server. Normally you use the VirtualBox GUI to manage your virtual machines, but a server does not have a desktop environment. Fortunately, VirtualBox comes with a tool called VBoxHeadless that allows you to connect to the virtual machines over a remote desktop connection, so there’s no need for the VirtualBox GUI.

FreeNAS and TFTP (WIP)...So, we have created a local network TFTP server with the intent of making backups/repairs/installs here at home a bit easier. We have done this using tutorials from: HowToForge: www.howtoforge.com The router is using the latest version of Tomato firmware and the network server is using FreeNAS with TFTP and Webserver [enabled]. The end goal is network install options for linux and windows as well as basic utils such as antivirus for 'dropoffs'. Addidtional information can be provided on a Q/A basis.. HP Classmate at SUSE Linux Booth -...www.netbooknews.com We haven't seen this netbook before, its the SUSE Linux booth at Computex 2010. Apparently HP is entering into the education market with their the HP Classmate, its sporting SUSE Linux with N455 processor a 160GB HDD in a 10.1 inch form factor. It also has a handle and looks like it must be rugged because it is a pretty thick netbook. We are surprised that it is not come equipped with a touch screen, but perhaps it might in future builds.
